I got all set up and ready to go at some of the stuff I want/need to finish for SkyPirate!Minerva this weekend, specifically the paint mods. That's when I realized I didn't have anything to mod via paint. This, as it turned out, was a bit of a problem. I ordered this pretty last night, along with the case, as a birthday present for myself. I got the weathered versions. I can't wait to get my new toys.

I figured the lensatic compass would be more appropriate for the Chronicler than a regular compass. Plus it looks cool when all opened up. :P

jenthompson posted in her last entry her sketch for her steampunk costume. I'm experiencing some serious telescope envy. I mean, I had telescope envy before but now it's ramped up significantly. So the first notice for this year's On My Own Time Competition/Exhibit has gone out. Anything I enter would be on display for the month of August at our office.
