VENT POST

This is a pure venting post. In fact, if I had any idea of how to make it for my eyes only, I just might have considered doing that. But I'm too angry right now to bother trying to figure that shit out.

E is moving out. THANK GOODNESS!!! She brought it up, in not such a great way (very blunt IM while she knew I was in class) but whatever, it's going to be taken care of. She's MUCH more messy than I am, and she has a dog and a girlfriend that stays with us all the time (like, literally almost every night since May). However, she NEVER cleans. OK, she's vacuumed twice since May. Seriously. And SHE'S the one who has the dog. But whatever, she's moving out.

Well, in order to facilitate her moving out, I need to find someone to move in and take over her part of the rent. However, her desk and room are a disaster--shit EVERYWHERE!!! So, in order to show the room and actually get someone to like it, someone has to cover up the shit with blankets, actually make the bed, put her shoes in her closet, etc. I told her that, in order to "sell" the room, she'd have to clean it up a bit. Did she? No. Granted, the first viewer was 5 hours early, but she had plenty of notice and didn't clean it up. So, I told her that, since she didn't have time to clean, I'd have to straighten up for her, at least a little. I put the stuff falling out of the closet back into the closet, I covered her pile of clothes, etc., with her (clean) laundry bag, and I threw her comforter over her bed. I also collapsed her dog's crate and put it behind the door. The last thing I did was straighten the piles (yes, there are several and they're two feet tall) on her desk (that is in the common area). Then, I told her more people would be coming on Monday--did she straighten up? No. So I did. Again, today, she knew people would be coming, but she left the place a mess. One of the things I did today, just as I had every other day, was put the crate behind the door. I had done it several times before--and it's stayed behind the door just fine. Well, tonight, when she (and girlfriend, and dog) got home, the crate fell down and onto the corner of her computer (which she put on the floor as soon as she got home). She sort of freaked out and went on and on about how I shouldn't touch her stuff, how I should treat her stuff with care, and how she never touches my stuff. Well, guess what?! MY STUFF IS WHERE IT BELONGS AND OUT OF THE WAY, AND, BESIDES THAT, IT'S NOT MY ROOM THAT I'M SPENDING *DAYS* AND *DAYS* TRYING TO RENT, IS IT?! IT WASN'T MY DECISION FOR YOU TO MOVE OUT, WAS IT?! NOR WAS IT MY DECISION TO NOT STRAIGHTEN UP MY OWN ROOM, WAS IT?!?!?!?! I mean, come the fuck on, she's put the crate there several times before and it hasn't fallen. (BTW, her computer is completely fine.) And if she's gonna leave her room a mess, I'm just going to have to straighten it up to get someone to rent it!!! If she doesn't want to take the 10 minutes to straighten up her own stuff, how is that MY FAULT?! I mean, seriously. Granted, it's frustrating when someone else touches your shit--but that is ENTIRELY within her control! If she kept her shit at least SOMEWHAT neat, I wouldn't HAVE to touch her shit!!! It's not like she's helping me find a roommate! SHE'S TOO BUSY WITH LAW SCHOOL! Well guess what, not only am I ALSO in law school, but I also RUN a non-profit and have TWO JOBS. SO FUCK OFF!!!
