Summary: It's walkthrough time, and Church is out and about on patrol.

He'd never been an early riser. But then he'd lost the ability to actually sleep. He could put the robot he inhabited into sleep mode, but it really wasn't the same thing, and so he'd taken to sleeping far less than he used to while he was alive, unless he was severely bored or in dire need of avoiding someone. The latter didn't really work terribly well to get away from Caboose, or Tex when she felt like going on one of her beat-them-on-the-head-while-they-sleep sprees, unfortunately.
So when the lights came on in the artificial morning, Church "woke" himself up, made his way out of his little room on the far end of the colony from everyone else, and figured that there was little else to do but get his walkthrough of the colony over. Maybe if he ran into that Hammond guy he'd divy up the responsibilities between them. And maybe if he happened across the infirmary, he'd check in on the injured kid.
