Down in the pits, Harth lounges -- in a corner, a body cools (blonde, totally out of the eighties, kept crying for someone, had weird exploding powers. Huh. Whatever; she's still dead now). The dogs will drag it off eventually.

It's not -- technically -- Buffy's shift.

She's careful to shut the gate behind her. And instead of pulling out a stake, patrolling the streets, she finds an overturned crate by the mouth of an alley, and sits.

It's quiet.
