Over the weekend, I was supremely disturbed to discover that the OED lists as the first pronunciation for the word "greasy" a word with a "z" sound in it. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Of course, it lists the correct, non-Southern U.S. pronunciation too, but it's not first.
