I finally got the answer on the faux-verb sunsetting. They were talking about the retirement/discontinuation of a certain type of payment. And they were using the expression "will be sunsetted" in all seriousness. Seriously. Not just on the conference call referenced in the previous blog entry, but multiple times and in multiple communication ( Read more... )

It's fortunate that I hear stuff like this on conference calls. If I were in a meeting for things like this, they'd know from the look on my face that I think they're insane.
