About 4 months ago, someone asked "how often do you think about the events of September 11, 2001, or how does it affect you?" Here's what I wrote, unedited.

Just heard from Matt & Kristi. They actually landed in London that morning, hearing the news as they landed that bombs had gone off in several tube stations and a bus. We are thankful that the airports weren't a target. They are in Basingstoke (I think), and have no Internet or phone service yet, as efforts are concentrated on fixing problems ( Read more... )

I just this minute remembered that the cousin whose wedding I just attended (July 2) is honeymooning. . . in London.
