Had a fun, crazy time camping. The weather was completely winter for the first six days, cold and cloudy and snowy with the occasional blizzard. Then I went home for a day and it got better, so that by Saturday it was firmly late spring and I could peel back the layers to a t-shirt. I am in Gold Beach, OR, having managed to find a bookstore/art gallery/cafe with internet access. Yay. Having a great time so far. The weather is generally fog in the am that burns off and sunny in the pm. Spent yesterday walking on the beach. Got a bit of a sunburn but only on spots, like a patch on my arm and the side of my face. Weird. Tomorrow ( Read more... )

We came back early. I have teh plague, or something involving a constant fever and massive congestion in my ears and sinuses, and tonsils the size of golf balls. Dixie was like two days ahead of me symptom-wise, but then, as she pointed out, she doesn't have tonsils. And the constant changes in elevation were agony on my ears ( Read more... )
