My 1000th book at librarything.com is my 1959 copy of the first Nancy Drew. I was hoping something for something more obscure, like one of the 1930 editions. Oh, well.

On the way back from Safeway this afternoon, I discovered a small bookshelf outside an apartment building, with a bowl (containing quarters) on top, and a small sign saying "Books 25¢".
