Inspector Roderick Alleyn

On the way back from Safeway this afternoon, I discovered a small bookshelf outside an apartment building, with a bowl (containing quarters) on top, and a small sign saying "Books 25¢". So (after going to Cobb's Bread and obtaining actual change) I now have two not-great-condition Ngaio Marsh paperbacks. One of which -Final Curtain- I thought might be the precursor to a novel I already have (involving a theatre troupe performing a Certain Play), but on further skimming, it seems to be unrelated. Oh, well. The other of which seems to be set in New Zealand itself, so I'm curious what Alleyn is doing there. There was also a Wimsey anthology that I already have, and so didn't get.

mysteries, authors, books
