It seems rather ironic that a city that we're supposedly here to rebuild is proving so reluctant to move away from the past. Its own. Ours.

It's beginning to get rather repetitive.

It's been said that the time from our respective homes passes differently to the time spent here. It's a small comfort. Perhaps those activities we were forced to drop and worry about after our arrivals here won't be quite so ruined once we are eventually sent back. Perhaps everything won't have been in vain after all.

The earthquake was surprising, but it wasn't too shocking. I would say it wasn't big enough to have caused any damage, but with the condition of some of the buildings, it's hard to know what would cause damage. Maybe, if there are people here that haven't encountered earthquakes before, they should be, if they wanted, be given guidelines on general ( Read more... )
