(As always, Tomoo sounds polite and calm; he's relatively softly spoken, but his tone assured. It would be very difficult to know that something was bothering him. Years of practice have made him skilled at hiding the fact.)
The present is ever changing and the future remains unknown. It should remain unknown. Plans are made, expectations are had but always, the future isn't known. Even something as close as tomorrow.
I wonder what the reality of that was.
(There's a few minutes pause, and he almost sounds amused as he speaks again.)
If it's meant to be true, then I look forward to changing the future.
Fate is undecided.
"Forgive me".

I wonder if such distractions are a good thing. Perhaps that's not the best phrasing, but either way, they highlight a common feature in the nature of the people in this city. To be so vehemently set on something and then to pause so suddenly, so willingly when the chance is offered. I wonder if determination is a strong point of this city? At least, the ability to relax certainly appears to be one.
I wonder, though, will anything that anyone wants achieved be possible if affairs continue in this manner?
Ah-- Of course. Happy New Year.
((ooc: Basically, he saw the confrontation between Serizawa and himself, and how everything goes completely and utterly tits up and not according to plan, he has a breakdown and accidentally shoots and kills Serizawa and then his own death. Stabbed in the abdomen. Gotta hurt.))
