tea_drinker77 gave me £20 in John Lewis gift vouchers for my birthday, and I've been waiting for the post-Xmas sales to try and buy a sweater or cardigan's worth of Rowan yarn. I've been dying to knit a garment in Rowan, but it's SO. DAMN. EXPENSIVE. The sheep they use must live off caviar and solid-gold potatoes or something. I've been eyeing the Morning Glory cardigan in their Purelife organic cotton collection, and with the JL sale on Rowan Organic DK, I think I may have a winner---a whole cardigan's worth of lovely, gorgeous, organic wool for £26.
It's a nice, knockabout cardigan that shouldn't be too complicated (she says optimistically), and knit in wool instead of cotton it'll be nice and warm. So excited!!
