A year and a half ago Svenja and I first got together, and we had no idea what would be in store. It was very up-and-down, but on the whole, I think it was wonderful and great, and we grew so close I even moved country to continue the relationship. This is not a pleasant post, and I'll be putting in a cut. You're more then welcome to read on (obviously), but, for me, it's pretty upsetting. If you've got too many troubles, I'd advise against reading onwards. I know sometimes when you've got your own worries and stuff on your mind, reading about other people's doesn't help!

I found out today, after going into work to check the roster, that I haven't been granted next weekend off in order to go home to England for Benjamin's first birthday. I was shocked, and appalled, and very angry. I asked them for the weekend off, and the Monday/Tuesday following, weeks and weeks ago so I could get home for his birthday, and they ( Read more... )

So I'm now working full time at Dunne's Stores as a Night Packer. It may not sound too fancy, and I guess that's it's not, but it pays exceptionally well, too. €11.16 an hour, actually! Works out at around €400 a week, which is really good!! Also, with it being nights, the shifts are fairly regular: I always start at 10PM, and finish any ( Read more... )
