Life, the Universe, and Everything!
A year and a half ago Svenja and I first got together, and we had no idea what would be in store. It was very up-and-down, but on the whole, I think it was wonderful and great, and we grew so close I even moved country to continue the relationship. Obviously it didn't last, but I do look back on it with happiness and pride, and shall do for as long as my memory serves me.
To cheer me up, Caroline is coming over later with "little" Benjamin (who, by the way, is now starting to talk - apparently while at my Aunt's house, he stood at the bottom of the stairs shouting "Dada!" because he is so used to Paul being upstairs in bed!!) which will really help me and take my mind off of everything.
Going to mention OTF now. As we all know, they're making radical changes to the place, and I do believe it is about time too! A lot of the changes are similar to ideas I suggested to people (esp. reduction of departments) and believe it will be a positive step to start to strip down some of the "business" elements and focus more on the chat and being a place to hang out with friends and have a laugh.
Back to real-life things now. It seems Chris still hasn't changed. He still sleeps in into the afternoon, spends all day on the Xbox, and has no drive to get a job - or even look for one! My Mother is starting to get annoyed with it - as my Dad did before her - because she is now the one paying for him while he makes no effort to find a job. Apparently he recently told his girlfriend she could move into the house (without asking Mam!) and live here. My Mother - rightly - said no, because she isn't happy paying for him, never mind his girlfriend. It does annoy me that Chris is content lying around all day and getting money from the state (which he spends on computer games) and eating crap (he wolfs through any chocolate/biscuit treats). He expects everything to be handed to him on a plate, and needs to realise he can't go through life like this all the time.
