Got up too early this morning, I believe just after 4am as I have tomorrow's 'goodbye party' on my mind.  I haven't been thinking much about it, but somehow it's in my subconcious as I just want to get this over with.  Perhaps I'm overdramatizing it, but moving on to a whole new career is kind of scary with the unknown bothering me the most.

Another very early morning tending to my baby girl and eventually getting her back to sleep had me falling asleep in the mat chair in her room.  At least I got some shut eye with the heavy blanket keeping me warm.....being with her and falling asleep together is very fulfilling for myself as now and then I tend to have separation anxiety when she's ( Read more... )

Having a newborn really changes one's life as has been the case when it's come to my Christmas shopping.  I haven't done this much online buying since covid pretty much avoiding going out altogether to the malls with the exception of a couple of times......had to get out of the house bringing Sophia with me which worked out fine as it was during ( Read more... )

Oh god, I woke up early again and I felt like I was literally sleepwalking down to the kitchen to get my java going, and then headed down to the basement to the re-located home office.  It's quite nice and cosey, but if there's one thing I miss is the sunrise in the old digs.  Something about sunrises to get the day going......

That's what I keep telling myself as I actually slept in this morning, and I really needed it.  Busy, busy week and Adrian is a total sweetheart as he'll look after the little guy while I head to the gym.  After that, family day and the three of us will hang out together and get ready for tonight as Michael & Shay are coming over for dinner....... I had to go into the office yesterday for in-person meetings and left earlier than the norm in order to avoid the Tuesday drive-in which is the one day that is the worst.  So today is a work at home day and I'm okay with that as I found out this morning how cold it was.....  -1C.  Looks like fall is slowly giving way to the arrival of winter as it' ( Read more... )
