Tomorrow is my last day at work.  I'm going to miss some of my coworkers but I will NOT miss the job.  This has been such an eye-opening experience.  I've learned so much about social services and Welfare -- more than I care to know, thankyouverymuch.  I'll post at some point with some of the highlights.  It's pretty disturbing how many programs ( Read more... )

Oh, it's been an uneventful week in the life of me. I got home from Nashville late last Sunday night. Instead of driving up three times this month (Mother's Day, wedding shower, Ira Glass) I combined Mother's Day and the shower into one trip last weekend.  Here's some of the pictures from yesterday.  I had SUCH a good time!  I'm sunburned on half of my body from the sun hitting one side of the stadium but I don't care :)

I worked a 1/2 day Friday and left to pick up the rental car and hit the road. It's a good thing I had a rental car... at about a mile before I-459 my car started acting funny again...it died when I got off of 459 at Acton Road.  I managed to get it started again only to have it die in the middle of Acton Road.  Eventually, after much wailing and ( Read more... )
