I posted lots of pics of our trip to Canada. It was a great trip (except for the traffic due to construction near the border on the way back). Yesterday when I got into Toronto there wasn't any snow - and it was fairly warm (compared to the negative temperatures in Saint Paul, anyway). I was glad I chose not to deal with my coat on the plane, and just wore a sweatshirt ( Read more... )

Hard to believe it was almost 2 weeks ago that we were leaving for DC! We had a good trip... everything went well, our hotel was great, we saw a lot but also left a lot for a future trip. Probably the hardest thing was the heat and humidity, which slowed us down a little.

-We bought (rather suddenly) tickets to go to Washington DC later this summer. The flight + 3 nights at the Westin Grand were less than $400 each, so we couldn't pass it up. But, this means I have to stay very on top of school assignments.

If I never had to get back in the car, that would be fine with me. I usually like road trips, but I just wasn't feeling the drive this time. It seemed to take forever to get there, and we actually ended up stopping at a hotel with only 2.5 hours to go, because I just couldn't be in the car any more.
