Here are the results from the two challenges held over the holiday period at mitchellstills . I won a few categories as well which made me happy. Both of these challenges were tougher for me. I tend to find it easier when the scope isn't as broad. What I end up doing is imposing a narrow scope on myself which I did by making myself use stills from a single ( Read more... )

A while ago I was looking over screencaps of episode 10x09 'Company of Thieves' and... went a little bit crazy. I was hoping to find some crops to make icons from and... well I found 584. I held back! I swear I did! I showed considerable restraint!

The results for challenge #25 at mitchellstills are in... and I won! *throws his hands in the air* Yatta!

The theme for this challenge was 'The Pegasus Project', an episode I truly love, and which consequently I've never been able to write any fics for. I will endeavour to do so at some point, but that is a thought for another day.

I was never once able to field a full Space Marine army. Ever. I owned one certainly, I was just never able to play an actual game with the whole thing. The reason for that is very simple. As promised here's a post with the icons I made for challenge #24 over at mitchellstills. There were some absolutely beautiful icons submitted for that challenge. The Quest is such a lush looking episode with amazing colour that it wasn't surprising that some of the most impressive of them have eye-popping colour schemes.
