I have this idea for something we're going to call a scarf, because it's a giant long piece of flat knitting, part Dr. Who Scarf, part this neat scarf-thing here, part Hitchhiker's Guide towel.

On the way to, from, and during New Year's (well, the afterparty. Knitting while drunk drinking is asking for trouble), I played around with The Monstrosity, finally deciding to start in the middle and graft the whole thing at the back of the neck, so I could start with easy flat knitting and not points. In other news, have I mentioned that I finished the Dragon's knit collar neckwarmer thingy? I think it turned out nicely, but the weather has been too nice for it to get a trial run lately.
