For those of you that may have seen the post regarding mom and her nursing home, I wanted to let you all know that that has been resolved. Apparently the nursing home realized they were going to lose quite a few patients because of this and, therefore, reversed their decision and kept the RTs. No worries about finding a new place, moving mom or how ( Read more... )

As most of you on ye olde flist know, my Mom has been in a nursing home since 2005. She's there for a variety of medical conditions, mostly respiratory related. She was informed this week that as of May 1st, her current nursing home will no longer provide 24/7 respiratory therapy. Ok, so I am going to try and get back to writing here more regularly. There's been several reasons I've been away from here for awhile.

First and foremost, my home computer died for good about three weeks ago. This has been resolved by me finally purchasing the laptop I've been talking about for months. I ended up going with a Dell Inspirion E1505. ( Read more... )
