Back in the Saddle Again
Oh, thank God that's over.
The past two weeks I've been wallowing in some depressive, self-pitying funk. I'm not really sure what caused it apart from my apartment being a wreck and, therefore, not eating right and, therefore, not sleeping right and well...you get the vicious-circle picture, right?
This weekend I broke out of the cycle by cleaning my apartment and getting some serious food shopping done. Also, got a new covered cat tray which seems like a small thing but is actually huge since the little brat will no longer be able to throw litter all over my bathroom floor. So, now I have a clean and provisioned apartment and I am happy.
Another point of action this weekend was to buy my plane tickets to Ohio for the holidays. I had been dreading this for awhile because plane fares have been going through the roof. Luckily, I have a very smart aunt who suggested looking for flights leaving Christmas Day and found a flight $200 less than the ones at which I had been previously looking. So I'll be in Akron from 12/25-12/30...let's hope my sister and I can live in her apartment for 5 days without killing each other ;).
As for fun this weekend, yrosalita and I went and saw The Queen. Very very good...Helen Mirren is simply amazing. I highly suggest this movie to everyone.
