I am so proud of myself. I just finished my first piece of "intermediate" garb. It is one of those lace up the front dresses where the skirt is open to reveal an underdress and the lacing goes from waist to chest. I made it all without a pattern, starting with a duct tape form of myself and making a simple mockup to fit it better, then cut it ( Read more... )

I am almost done with my pigment that I've been making! YAY!

It's verdigris, which by modern terms is mostly hydrated copper acetate, with some copper carbonate and some copper hydroxide. Behold, how lovely the color!
