I am so proud of myself. I just finished my first piece of "intermediate" garb. It is one of those lace up the front dresses where the skirt is open to reveal an underdress and the lacing goes from waist to chest. I made it all without a pattern, starting with a duct tape form of myself and making a simple mockup to fit it better, then cut it and put a lining in and everything!
This marks my first step away from gore dresses, tunics and other loose-fitting clothes! Yay me!
(I guess I just wanted to share how geeked I am that I did something that wasn't beginner sewing, finally, after 10 years in the SCA.)
