( “Do you believe me to be the devil?” She nodded her head and he smiled at her. )

( Shaking fingers reached forward and hovered over the water’s surface, the wave nearly brushing against his skin. “Because there will be nothing left,” he finally answered, returning his eyes to the ethereal beauty of her face. )
