VIII Riverblossom Hills

Dear Natasha.

We found the perfect home in Riverblossom Hills.

It's a cozy two story duplex, with three rooms and our own small yard in the back, which it's a fresh change after living in one apartment building after another for so long.

The kids seemed really excited to move in and start their new school, though I was relieved to able to take a few days off before going back to work.

Not only I was feeling terribly sick every morning (and I guess the reason is not a mystery for anyone), but the last move had drained my energy more that ever before,

and between taking care of Gaspar, Obelia, and Rose, the puppy, as well, I felt exhausted all day long.

Sometimes I found myself calling the nanny just to get a couple of hours of good sleep during the mornings,

but it was Jonas who usually took over after returning from school.

I'd never deny him the possibility, but he had never shown a real interest in getting a job after school and I don't insist either. With the support of his father, who has never failed him, Jonas has all his needs covered, included a college fund, so his help is more valued at home being with his siblings, than economically.

Besides, he prefers to spend his time studying to keep his grades up,

and deserves some free time to simply enjoy his teens as well.

Winter welcomed us with calm weather, but it didn't take long to start showing his true face with lower temperatures and our first snow.

I can't say I personally appreciate the cold, but the kids really enjoy playing outdoors anyways, and when it gets colder they run inside to watch movies together before dinner.

Regardless of the weather, though, the town and neighbors are warm and welcoming.

The first neighbors I meet, were the O'Mackey and Greenmans.

Gabe O'Mackey happens to be a teacher in the boys' high school; and his brother, Jason, is married to Rose Greenman.

A real plantsim, and probably one of the most beautifully and exotic creatures I've ever seen.

In general, there aren't as many places to visit as in Desiderata, but the kids really like the town's community center. It has a ice skating rig, a lot of space outside to play, and a very conformable area indoors with games for those who rather avoid the cold.

And of course, there's always neighbors of all ages hanging around there.

By the third semester of the pregnancy we had a lot of celebrate.

Lander was becoming a teen,

and soon after it was Gaspar's first birthday.

That was the time with the strongest storms, so the kids where forced to stay indoors for days, and though the boys always find ways to keep their younger siblings entertained,

with six children, including two toddlers, and a puppy the house certainly started feeling crowded.

And then  --I gave birth to Cyd's twins.

Cyrus and Cynthia.

They are beautiful, healthy, happy babies, but I was certainly not prepared for twins.

Even with all the help the kids offer with the household chores and the dog, I feel like I can barely keep things together lately.

Rose is still not trained,

Obelia is all over everything the puppy does and eats,

Gaspar spends too much time playing by himself,

the girls do their best but are often behind with their homeworks,

and Lander is still struggling with his grades...

Add two babies to that,

and me going back to work, because of course, savings aren't endless, and neither are my paid vacation days.

JIC, Lander has Family aspiration. That was pretty obvious since kid, but not sure yet what to give him for secondary.

With Jonas was easy, knowledge-family, but Lander is so much a family sim thru and thru it's hard to say. Being a Curious the first thought was "knowledge" but he's soooo not a knowledge sim! He's certainly not a fortune sim either, and can't imagine him too inclined to 'romance' (he could be romantic, sure, but I don't imagine him "wanting 3 loves" for example lol). So probably the best options are either Popularity or Pleasure (no grilled cheese, thankyouverymuch!). He has been all about making friends since becoming a teen, but I also know he really likes hanging around, just playing and doing nothing, enjoying life. Though no too fan of tv (contrary to Jonas who could be all day watching it lol), I can totally imagine him wishing to stay on his PJ all day long, for example. (he's full nice and playfully, but has only 3 active points)

I haven't decided yet, tho, but I think he may end up with "pleasure" after all. I don't use it much, and would fit him nicely. (and usually give it to Lazlo too)

Also, in case you missed it...

Maya's face when Blossom's giving birth makes the whole show XD

MOREBABAIES!!?? D:
