I - Downtown (Part 1)
Dear William:
I'm deeply sorry for leaving college in such a short notice, but it just wasn't for me.
I was fooling myself into think otherwise, not to mention suffocating as well.
I couldn't staid there any longer...
So I came to Downtown.
It seemed like the right place to go.
I quickly found a small apartment with an ideal price,
perfect location,
and actually much bigger than I thought it would be.
Between the few things I brought with me and a little of thrift hunting,
it quickly felt like a home.
I really like it in here.
The town is noisy and crowded, but everything is so alive.
And close too!
Everything is a walking distance, and the fresh spring weather makes running errand very easy and enjoyable.
The grocery store is just half block away,
and the Corner Shoppes in the other corner, with everything else I could need.
I'm especially fond of the gift store there. They have all sorts of beautiful stuff.
There's even an Art Museum and a gorgeous park just a couple of blocks away.
And everywhere, I get to meet the most interesting people.
It's the perfect place to start a new life.
Finding a job has been harder than I anticipated, though.
There are plenty of places to look for jobs, yes, but not many are willing to hire someone without experience or recommendations.
So far the best alternative was for a "Test Subject" in a nearby lab. Savings will have to do for a bit longer, but I'm sure I'll find something else soon.
Tell me about you if you can respond, Were you accepted in the fraternity like you wished to?
I can only hope you did. It wasn't my intention to leave you all alone back there. Please, understand.

I've been posting some pictures of this in my tumblr too, so those following me there may feel like there's nothing new here, but I've been taking so many pictures and there's so much I'd like to show, I though it was a good way to do it without overloading the actual challenge updates here even more. (I hate being redundant, though, so I'm trying not to use all the exact same pictures and the posts there are slightly different, but complementary)
Now, for those who may not know what is this all about, I'm doing kind of a (personal) challenge with Blossom Moonbeam.
The main idea is to make her stay in each one of the (uberhood) neighborhoods for a couple of sim days (2 to 4) and make her get pregnant with one (pre-made) sim from each hood. (all the sims she meets in each hood are from that specific hood only, I'm not allowing sims from other hoods in the comm lot or interacting with her at all, jic)
While doing this she'll also be visiting the hood's community lots (which I've been fixing up a bit too) and hopefully meeting as much sims as possible on her way. As added challenge she'll be living in apartments only, and keeping a job, though, I realized that, with the time frame and so much moving, it may not possible to finish the challenge with her budget alone, so I may use a bit of "kaching" here and there if needed.
In general, I'm doing my best no to use cheats, though, but I've needed to push moods a bit when things get too bad and there's risk of death .. or worse, social services!! (really keeping up with the timing, with all the pregnancies and babies is challenge enough rofl)
Blossom's Family by default and I gave her Popularity as second asp. It took me a while to decide, tho, but considering the idea of the game it'll be the best. Besides she was the one constantly wishing to make friends up and down, even before getting 2nd. asp. ;) (Imo, she could be knowledge, but in this game it wouldn't work, and things like Fortune/Romance/Pleasure simply don't feel right for her character --even if romance could work well for the game)
As for the sims fathering the babies, there's no plan ahead. I just make her check comm lots and see who she meets, but of course, it won't be just the first random male sim she meets either. It's always someone with good chem. and who could potentially be a good partner for her. However she will be leaving each town after getting pregnant no matter what. Even if she meets the most perfect man ever-ever! .... (or woman, because btw, she turned out to be Bi by ACR, so who knows what could happen once her journey is over)
I'll try to work around the reasons why Blossom does all this for the story(ish) to make the most sense, but please keep in mind this's only a way to tell the challenge, it is not meant to be a cohesive story, so don't look for much sense or reasoning behind her actions. (You know, like ... why are WHing with a guy you just met? Don't you know he's married? why aren't you using birth control? why are you leaving him now!!?? YOU DIRTY HOE!! :O)
Also, the second part in Downtown (and last, because it's only two parts here before moving to the next town) is pretty much ready, but I want to keep playing ahead as much as possible before rushing too much with posting, so I'll be waiting a couple of days between each update.
The second town (not saying which one yet) is already played and done, with the actual post half way done, and I'm in game finishing the third town, while preparing the next one, so expect more to come soon.
