I - Downtown

Dear Klara:

Congratulation on your upcoming wedding.

I'm so happy for you, and thrilled to receive your invitation. I'll do my best to attend. It'd be wonderful to see you again, and be present for such a wonderful event.

You were so missed after leaving LFT for that "Big Sim" challenge, but must say that watching you embrace such an adventure was an inspiration for me. I was feeling trapped in college, but the idea of facing the world can be terrifying as well. Still is sometimes, though, especially considering how things are turning out.

It all started in the corner shops, shortly after I moved here. (I really like that place, so I spend a lot of time just checking the little trinkets in the store.)

To make the story short, that is where I met Kiernan Tricou, who introduced me to his father-in-law, Jon Smith,

who unexpectedly invited me to a hangout in front of my apartment, with his whole family, so I got to meet his other son-in-law, Kvornan, and all their wifes, of course.

It was an unusual situation for me, to say the least, but it was just nice to be meeting people in town.

However, I should have been paying more attention to their wedding rings, instead of being so distracted by their --looks.

And certainly I should have been more careful about getting so acquainted with Jon in particular.

We kept meeting in the most unexpected places, and he's such an interesting man.

It was easy to make friends with him.

But, of course, it was never my intention to get involved with him, until one night, the most unfortunate chain of events changed it all.

I was feeling a bit down, and decided to cross the street to get a drink and maybe something to eat at the FM.,

but never expected to find Jon there.

Apparently, he have just had a fight with his wife and wanted a time away from their crowded house,

so we decided to have dinner together.

I admit it wasn't the wisest thing to do at that moment, but it probably hadn't been such a big deal,

if the waiter hadn't spill the food all over my clothes!

I needed a change,

and Jon, who's a gentleman, offered to walk me home.

I should have said goodbye at the building's entrance,

or when we reached my apartment door,

but I only wanted to rush to the bathroom, get the sticky cloths off, and wash the smell off my hair as soon as possible.

So Jon waited patiently for me,

and I guess, you can imagine the rest...

I can't regret my actions now, whatever wise or not so much.

I just wish to have my friends, you and William, closer,

so we could talk like we did back in our small little house in LFT.

Maybe if I hadn't been feeling so lonely,

I wouldn't have fallen in the arms of a married man so easily.

The biggest problem now is that,

not only I was weak to fall for him,

not matter how much my conscious screamed not to,

but I was also stupid enough to get myself pregnant in the process.

It's too hard to make this kind of decisions, but he mustn't know about this.

I'll leave town, and raise my child by myself, somewhere far.

I may even go back to the desert.

Somehow I find myself missing the calm streets and quiet nights.

Much love
Blossom

Next II Strangetown (Part 1)

************
************

I was informed that we'll be working all weekend and part of next week (good news for us, actually), so I won't have time to post this later like planed, but didn't want to make everyone wait so long to, at least, finish this town, so decided to post today anyways. :)

JIC, if it gets a bit confusing, I have two uberhoods and this one I use for challenges, dares and other random stuff like that, so some sims, like Klara (who met and fell in love with Chester in the Big Sim), have their own alternative side stories. In general though, most of the sims are still as they come by default, including fugly outfits. Only some of them will have the privilege of a makeover, if they don't have one already rofl

And, btw, I forgot to mention in the last post, I try to keep the time frames as close to "1 sim day = RL year" as possible, so some life stages (pregnancy especially) are shortened. Also work schedule and other factors make an exact timing very hard to keep, but the game goes approximately like this
Pregnancy: About half of time per each stage, so between 1-1/2 to 2 sims day. (still a bit too long in for RL timings, but not too short for the game either)
Baby: 1 to 1-1/2 day. (It should be two days maybe, as in up to 2 years old, but I just rather have babies for shorter time)
Toddler: Up to 5 years old, so like 3-1/2 to 4 days, which I think it's pretty much as default (4 days?)
Kids: Around 7 days, pretty much like in game too (up to 12 years aprox)
Teens: Another 6 to 7 days, to make it around 18 years old. (This is half the time teens have in game, but as they can be send to college at any time, their lifestage lenght is very relative lol. Still I like playing them for at least 5 days usually, and I'll probably keep them as long as possible in this game to help with the house, but no longer that 7 days.)

Also, counting all 8 hoods Blossom should have just a bit under 4 days to be in each town (considering around 30 days of adult life), but in fact, using comm. lots wisely, three sim-days have been more than enough so far. (Downtown took only two in fact)

If you're wondering, papis won't get to meet their children. Blossom may contact them again, and may or may not tell them, like in a letter as a storytelling tool, but there won't be any kind of family reunion in game :P (At least not until the end of the challenge, or if there's twist along the way...)

Lastly, like the last line insinuate, Blossom is heading back to the desert now. That means Strangetown!.
I already played that town, so know what happens, but I wonder, who do you think (or wish) Blossom will meet there? ;)

Thanks for reading and cheers!! :D
