II - Strangetown

Wish I could write Jon, but what would I tell him?

Sorry I left, without a goodbye, carrying your unborn child? ...

No. I'm in Strangetown now, and there's no looking back.

They say it's always summer here,

so I felt lucky to find a small, but fresh apartment, close to everything.

Well, the whole town is probably only a few block long anyways,

but the biggest attractions are the mall and poll, and both are located right by the apartment.

The pool is a great place to spend the dry, warm days,

and, of course, it easy to find neighbors enjoying the facilities at any time of the day.

The Mall has different small shops to cover all the neighbors more basic needs,

and even a cute playground where the town's kids meet after school.

It's easy to imagine bringing my own kid to play here as well.

In general I've enjoyed living here so far.

The weather feels even dryer and warmer than it was in college, but the desert is so peacefully and the life, so calm, it's easy to get to used to it.

I found a job as clerk surprisingly quickly too.

The town is small, but probably because most of its residents are scientists, college professors or in the military, there were actually several openings in stores and such.

And regardless of all the rumors about the people here,

everyone I've meet so far have been really friendly and welcoming, even the strangest ones.

But the best is the idea of living in a town where I can be close to friends again.

Not only college is only a short ride away, but many students from there move here after graduating.

Like Klara, who I found by chance at the mall and is looking for a good place to rent,

and Sarah Love, who never gave me a good impression back at LFT, but had been nothing but nice to me.

She is living in a cute trailer home down the road with Mathew Hart. Her pregnancy is much advanced now, but who knows, maybe our children could grow up as friends.

The intricate family ties of the people here still puzzle me, though. It almost feels like everyone is somehow related to each other and apparently half of the town actually belongs to the same family. The Curious. I've meet all of the 6 siblings and most of their families so far, including the three single brothers.

Lazlo, was the first Curious I met,  in the pool, shortly after arriving to town.

He's the youngest, and clearly the most outgoing, talkative and friendly of them all.

Pascal was walking down the street one afternoon, when I was coming back from work.

He's the oldest brother and, according to Lazlo, he's an extraordinary father, and has more stories than he let know. I'm not sure what that means exactly, but he's quite handsome and seemed very polite.

And Vidcund I met last, one Friday night when Lazlo invited me to the coffee shop.

He's shy and quiet, but it's easy to see he's smart and earnest.

Pascal joined us that night at the coffee shop too.

At first I thought it was kind of them to meet in a calm place, considering I wouldn't be in the state to go out much, but then I realized it wasn't only because of the pregnancy.

Here in Strangetown, places like this coffee shop are where the neighbors go out at night. The closest thing to a disco seems to be the "Interactive" Tech and Computer center located right next door, and apparently even the bookstore is quite alive on the weekends and late at night.

After living in Downtown, I couldn't avoid to giggle when Vidcund mentioned that last part so enthusiastically, but true is, I'm liking the idea of staying here. Downtown was hectic and stimulating, but even in the crowdest places, I felt out of place and alone. Here instead I feel at home, and in good company.

I can't forget, though, that no matter how attractive these guys are, I'm not here for romance.

I'm here to give my child a safe and stable place to live,

and that is exactly what I found.

I can't screw up again...

BUT .... we know she will screw up again!? RIGHT? lol

The question is with who exactly now that we are down to three options.

Ajay was tempting too, but as Curious lover I had to go with one of them. (besides, the chemistry is great with all and not like they gave me much choice, either. They kept popping up in com. lots, walking by her house, and calling her to go out :P)

So, in your opinion, who would be the best Curious for Blossom? (well, at least in general terms, I know there isn't much to judge yet ROFL)

Poll

More soon! Thanks for reading! :)
