It was one of those days you don't know whether to cry or scream. Work piled up in a mountain. Everyone wants everything immediately, sending negative energy of how stupid you are that you "just don't get it." It's hard to see past it when you are in the middle of it. Is it fair to say I booked a birthday trip to Sweden on a whim? Not really; I've been thinking about it for a while. It was a lazy, (not really but whatever) introspective weekend. Yesterday I did a lot of laundry, cleaning and getting the house in order after my crazy week and after getting back from Hawaii. Latvia has such a beautiful musical culture. Listening to Daugavpils Alisa 101.6FM on the new Bose. Feeling connected to the world again.

The mountains are really spectacular. That is, when the clouds part. Currently I know they are there, but covered in clouds. The hostel level accommodations of this trip made me feel I am too old for hostel accommodations. No heat in freezing weather, no toilet paper, bucket showers.
