Despite the ghetto motel accommodations, I still get a feeling of wellbeing when I drive into LA. It's the weather and abundance of space. It was one of those days you don't know whether to cry or scream. Work piled up in a mountain. Everyone wants everything immediately, sending negative energy of how stupid you are that you "just don't get it." It's hard to see past it when you are in the middle of it. I know how a snail or hermit crab must feel, bringing its home everywhere. Whenever I travel regionally, I bring my own pillow and as much of "home" with me as possible: shampoo, shower cloth, toothpaste. Books, electronics, electric toothbrush. Woke up at 3:30am. Can't sleep. Wide awake. I don't know why. Maybe the busy day ahead and all the moving excitement. I don't like instability, but in this case I think it is necessary.
