The Fall of the Roman Empire is on BBC2 RIGHT NOW. Thank god there is a shit-ton of (really fabulously bad) scenery, because between Alec Guiness, Sophia Loren, Christopher Plummer and Jaaaaaaames Maaaaason (♥), THEY ARE ALL GNAWING ON IT LIKE IT IS SOME SORT OF DELICIOUS CAKE AND THEY CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT.

Sound familiar at all?

I wonder if any of you have seen this film? I caught it over Christmas, and finally managed to track it down on DVD. It’s really rather good for an animated film, and has lots of real laugh out loud moments and a great soundtrack (courtesy of the show tunes queen himself, Elton John).
