So, I love Balian presiding over my LJ like a guardian angel, but... ah, Autumn for me, always means change.  Time to recapitulate, time to reflect, and time to make decisions and put them into effect before the long dark of winter. As the days die younger, I find myself becoming in equal parts more contemplative and more desirous of action.

When I went to school, we used to have assembly before lessons, where we'd have one of those 'moral education' type things - sometimes a religious story (from any religion - both my primary and secondary schools were multi-faith), sometimes one of those inspiring 'hero' type stories, both fictional and real life. And we also used to sing hymns. I wonder if any of you have seen this film? I caught it over Christmas, and finally managed to track it down on DVD. It’s really rather good for an animated film, and has lots of real laugh out loud moments and a great soundtrack (courtesy of the show tunes queen himself, Elton John). My brother took me, my sister-in-law, and my niece to see Genesis as a surprise on Sunday. I was taken unawares by how damn good they were.
