i miss philadelphia more than i expected to. not anyone in particular (and maybe that's the frightening part) but the city itself. early morning bike rides, the italian market, daily trips to benna's, park life, the library. normally when i travel, homesickness and loneliness are indistinguishable, but this time around it feels different. i'm not ( Read more... )

so let me preface this by saying that i REALLY love bagels and eat them almost every day. when i was in thailand, my diet consisted almost entirely of mediocre pad thai and kao pad (fried rice) during the week, so every weekend i would go to bangkok and gorge myself on different kinds of food, and every weekend i looked for bagels but found none.
