I have friends reporting that Peter Breck has passed away. I haven't checked the Yahoo groups (where people who are close to the source usually post news like this as it happens) but I know he has been rapidly declining this past year. Such sad news but I'm glad he is at peace. It sounds like it was a difficult decline.

OMGOMGOMG I TOTALLY FOUND IT...! I'm 99.9% sure the Wander/Big Valley china is Salem China, Princess Anne (pattern!) The Replacements.com pictures don't include some of the completer pieces that would totally clinch this, but from what's there, I'm totally sure:

Well... I'm seriously torn between sharing my squee/bragging/floofing my geeky feathers and keeping my mouth shut... Squeeing wins, in spite of my embarrassment. I blame eldritchhobbit in any case. :-P

I'm embarrassed that I've spent money on my crack habit when I really don't know where rent money is coming from next month... Behold, my new things:

I'm finding it exhausting being in a fandom set in the 1870s... It's a lot of work, trying to keep on top of all the meta crap. Music and books... So many of my usual stock don't make the cut. It's a steep $45+, but the online preview (which appears to be the entire book) shows that it's not so much an autobiography as a personal photo album! Guh!
