[Mod's final message & thank you.]This is it! We've made it to the end of another AD&AD round.
This was a bit of an experiment in format and requirements, but I've gotta say I'm pretty pleased. There were a lot of prompts, enough for there to be a few lonely leftovers, but we ended up with 61 fics (two had two versions from the same prompt, and many claimed more than one prompt). Most stayed in the 600-1K word range, which I expected, but that is still pretty short for a story. There is some quality content here, and you see that you don't need whole chapters to tell a good story.
Niceties aside, I will admit that I was disappointed in how poorly some participants followed directions. Maybe I didn't write them clear enough, but some did not present their submissions how I asked, and others didn’t meet the deadline. What's done is done, but please be more aware in the future. Mods try to make things as painless as possible with the stress of writing, but we appreciate it when you can do the same for us, and follow our directions, so we can post your work easily and in a timely manner. Questions are always more than welcome. I received some good questions through ask.fm and Twitter, and I thank you guys for that.
Overall, I had a lot of fun. From the comments, it seems like you participants and readers did as well. I'm glad. These fics will remain up and open unless the writer asks for it to be locked, so please go and read/reread rounds one and two, leave comments, tweet about the fics… Share the LuKai love.
