People seem cool with the idea of bingo, so that's the plan for round 3, if we go along with it. It'd just be a game of bingo; it could go boom-boom-boom WINNER! or take a while.
There would be a month for people to submit prompts to me, tropes, genres, just the super short, general "ABO AU," "enemies to lovers," "stop stealing my socks," etc. You wouldn't even have to participate to submit prompts; some people are idea people. I can identify with that.
There'd be a couple weeks in there for signing up, then at the end of prompting, I'd make up however many bingo cards needed using a randomiser and email them to participants along with the first randomly chosen prompt. (All the randomiser and generators are found online. It's easier that way.)
The big question is timing.
I could set it up as soon as next month. When do you all want this to happen? And how much time should be given to write?
Depending on when it starts and how much time you want to write determines the ballpark end. A lot of people will be on various breaks in the coming months; that may be a good time to do it. I dunno; you tell me. I won't be participating this round, so I have no preference.
Regardless of timing, there would be no extensions. If you miss the deadline, you miss the deadline. You do not get to fill in that square on your card.
Something a bit different that I'll be doing is posting the prompt on Twitter, LJ, and email. No excuses for not seeing it or knowing when the deadline is, then. No loopholes.
Another question, then, is the actual posting.
So:
How much time should be given to write?
- Minimum of 500 words with TWO WEEKS to write.
- Free-for-all word count and ONE WEEK to write.
How would you like entries to be posted?
- You send it to me, and I post it here, like usual.
- You post it on your own site, send me a link, and I will post the link to your work.
Leave a comment (they are screened) with some opinions and whenabouts this should happen. Gimme some months to look at.
