lj/tumblr cross-pollination?
hey, all. hope this isn't considered too off-topic, but since tumblr's tagging/categorizing system is kind of a hot mess, i figured this is a better place to ask: are any lj people also writing on tumblr? i've found tons of angsty teenage poetry & hackneyed writing advice thus far, but not much else.
anyway, i'll just paste the respective little 'about' blurbs from my tumblr & lj accounts here, in case anyone's interested in adding either. (or, to save you some time, don't read on if confessional-type writing isn't yr cup of tea):
lj: this journal is brashly, unapologetically, wholly about me-- my prurient nature, my wayward thoughts, my restless and blurry and delicious and uncertain hours-- and written with as much soul and candidness as i can muster. i've created dozens of these since age fourteen, and with each one, the self-censorship diminishes a bit more.
(for whatever reason, my tumblr's slightly more 'stylized' & i use capital letters there?)
tumblr: Pronounced Al-ee-nah | Philadelphia, by way of Moscow. | This is where I make some sort of order out of fog & whiskey & leather & perfume & the citylife sediment settled at the bottom of my purse. I aim to coerce myself back into the labyrinth near-daily, & catalog every form of desire I can get my hands on in snippets of 500 words or less. | A way of knocking loose strange & terrible & soft & delicious things from the low-rumbling motor of familiar days; my real-time pursuit of an antidote to persistent wanderlust; a technique for inducing vertigo; an attempt to harness the confessional form without lapsing into affected sentimentality or diaristic recapitulation or introspective obsession. Or I'll try, anyway. Just stop me if you sense an absence of levity..
