A would-be bank robber in Texas has been sentenced to more than eight years behind bars. Seems that, when he walked into a bank and demanded cash, the teller asked him for two forms of ID - which he provided.

Over on the other side of "The Pond" (AKA the Atlantic Ocean), Oxfordshire County Council has banned the use of swim goggles by children in swimming lessons, because the elastic could "snap back in children's faces, or make them bump into one another due to reduced peripheral vision."

A report has emerged that a soldier coming back from Afghanistan had his nail clippers seized at Indianapolis Airport during a stopover.
