Paragon Studios has announced that they are shutting down the studio, including their MMO (massively-multiplayer online game) "City of Heroes", which should be offline by the end of the year.

According to a new study, the average gamer is 37, and the average age of a game purchaser is 41 (possibly skewed upwards due to parents buying games for kids, is my guess). So, that gibberish-spouting fool who you just pwned in Counter-Strike might not be a 12-year-old after all, although they might still be living in mom's basement.

On my Facebook account, I've played more than a few "casual" games - things like Zynga's Farmville or Popcap's Bejewelled Blitz, for instance. As a public service to myself, to others who play these games, and to the developers who make these games, I'd like the developers to take note of something.
