- Attending NASA's Future Forum in Chicago, IL all day tomorrow. Once it's over, other students and myself are presenting our research done over the summer and people are given the chance to ask us questions. Hopefully I can get some networking/connections out of it.

Bad News: I was hoping I'd be able to pick up more hours at the the cafe this summer. Unfortunately, this won't be possible...I'll be much too busy with other things. Still, I'm going to try to maintain working one or two shifts a week through the summer. I love the job too much to just stop doing it entirely.

I was working at the cafe tonight...

A couple of hours into my shift, one of my aerospace professors walks in...with his date. O.o She also looked quite a bit younger than he did...she was also pretty drunk.

So...yeah. That was kind of weird. It's going to be hard to look at him in the same light ever again. XD

I don't really feel like re-narrating the passing of the night's events while I was working at the cafe. So instead, I'll paste a copy of the letter I just e-mailed to my college newspaper about the incident:

There's nothing quite like leaving a cookout early (and therefore missing out on steaks) to get to work on time...only to find the cafe ridiculously busy all night. There was a rather meager amount of tips at the end of the night to top it off. :P

Time for some late night cooking to lighten up my mood a bit. I'm thinking shrimp scampi.

10 hour kitchen shifts shouldn't exist.
