Over the past couple of weeks, I've been made aware of a number of significant circumstances in various people's lives. I'd just like to say that said people involved have not been far from my thoughts.
This aside, life has been pretty good lately. I'm continuing to learn more at work as I half-assedly search for other jobs. Nothing specific is on the horizon right now, but I've maintained contact with AGI (a small aerospace software company outside of Philadelphia) since my senior year of college and, opportunities will likely open up within Lockheed in Sunnyvale down the road, so I have high hopes in the coming months.
In the past month or so, I've been making an effort to explore my culinary curiosities...namely cuisine abroad. I've been trying to get a better hand on making North African and Mediterranean meals, and it's gone pretty well so far. I'm trying to get better at keeping a picture journal of sorts when trying new things so expect some food photos down the road.
Lastly, it almost ironically kind of bothers me I keep finding awesome people to hang out with in this area. Career-wise, I never wanted to move out here, but in regards to friends, I find staying here rather appealing. If and when I find myself with future job opportunities elsewhere, I'm definitely going to have some hard decisions to make.
