I just wanted an excuse to jump on the bandwagon and post a random photograph of myself, so here's me having the time of my life in a corner of my condo.

In all seriousness, I've heard nothing but good things about the con. Maybe I'll actually consider attending next year. :P Nonetheless, I had a pretty nice few days myself.
- My Wusthof kitchen knives arrived Thursday and I broke them in by making paella among other things. It's hard to believe I put up with crappy hand-me-down knives from old roommates for so long. This was definitely a worthy investment.
- I finally watched Fantastic Mr. Fox at ferian's place on Friday night and enjoyed it thoroughly.
- I offered minimal assistance and a bit of morale to bay_retriever as he got his boat in working order for the upcoming season.
- Today, I wandered Old Town Alexandria, a more historic part of the city in which I live, to get a feel for what it had to offer. After spending a few hours there, I've come to the conclusion that if I end up staying in this area for an extended period of time, I'd like to find a place there. As my lease on my current place nears expiration (September), I'll start looking for places there, hopefully on a short term lease in case I end up moving elsewhere.
Time to make granola. :O
