Today, we met Aya and her friend Kame near Heian Jingu. We'd intended to go on a boat ride, but they were sold out for the whole day. So, instead, we had a small picnic and then we went to Heian Jingu's garden, which was beautiful!

Teddy had sent a present and cookies we made to his private student, an eleven year old boy who goes to an international school. He tutors him twice a week in math and English. So, his mother bought us a cute cake from Daimaru. It was quite tasty. We cut it in half and ate it. That may sound sick, but it was a small cake:

I met her at the bus stop at 2 and then she came over to my house briefly and gave me cakes that her little sister made and then we decided to go to Qanat, a huge department store about a ten minute walk from my house.
