Today, we met Aya and her friend Kame near Heian Jingu. We'd intended to go on a boat ride, but they were sold out for the whole day. So, instead, we had a small picnic and then we went to Heian Jingu's garden, which was beautiful!

After having ice cream together (Teddy had coffee), we parted ways. Teddy and I had tasty bean pancakes and then walked down to Sanjo, where they had a mini festival going on near the river:
