Today was an attempt to make Doro Wat. The stew was way too thin, and outside of the obvious spice of the berbere, the taste (as Carl pointed out) was "blasé". This Saturday I went up to the city, and in part -- as bad as it sounds -- because I've had cravings for Ethiopian food, specifically Yebeg Tibs Aliccha, for about eight months now, and invited cuore_felice34.
