Christine Guldbrandsen - Christine

Sep 02, 2007 20:03

I've FINALLY gotten my hands on Christine Guldbrandsen's newest album, simply titled Christine. The album features her 2006 entry for Eurovision, "Alvedansen", in a new form, and other songs along that "Lorena McKennitt"-esque vein that her voice seems to fit so well.

it's been a while since I've loved nearly a whole album, but this one -- it's quite nice, and is somehow reminiscent to Final Fantasy IV Celtic Moon (again, the songs have a similar feel to them), with Christine's voice contributing to the whole CD having a "different world" quality to them, if that makes sense (and I suppose the fact that most of the tracks are in Norwegian helps that too!). if you like more folk-ish sounding tunes, then this album is a must!
