I saw Deathly Hallows (Part 2) last night, with DJ. All I have to say is OMG. It wasn't perfect (none of the movies are ever perfect enough for me), but I think it was the best out of all the Harry Potter movies. ( Spoilers. )

Forgot to mention that I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides last week with DJ. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't quite the same for me.

Yesterday, I met up withimmelmanturn downtown. She had obtained free passes to an advanced screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. On my way to meet up with her I walked past the Art Institute and, much to my delight, there were a group of cosplayers from the new Alice in Wonderland movie doing a photoshoot there. I finally saw Toy Story 3 yesterday. It was very good, but bittersweet. I think it really hit me because I'm in college and have realized that I'm not a child anymore. Pixar chose the perfect time for the full emotional impact of this movie. All of the children who originally saw Toy Story in theaters are now around college age. If I didn't love ( Read more... )

So, Thursday night was Beauty and the Beast. It was lovely! I had seen a well-done local production of it before, but the professional production took it to another level (as it should have). Went and saw The Princess and the Frog last night because it's playing at the IMU this weekend. It's a super cute movie! I think it's the best Disney movie that there's been in a while (excluding Pixar movies). The last time I liked a Disney movie this much was when I saw Lilo and Stitch. On Sunday, everyone in the house went to see Avatar in 3D. I was left with mixed feelings.

My friends and I went to the midnight showing of The Dark Knight last night/this morning. It was a great movie! And I don't even consider myself to be a fan of superhero movies. This was just really good. Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was so freaky and awesome. A+.
