Been a bit of a busy bee this week, but I've finally got some time to update.

I've made it through the first week of classes. This semester I've got Japanese, International Culture & the Arts, Society & Education in Japan (one more class with my favorite professor, Rubinger), and International Communication Strategies. For the most part (with Japanese being the exception) it seems like this semester should be easy enough.

Here's some updates on what's been going on in my life recently. The semester is winding down, all I have left is a smallish paper and four finals. I spent a good part of the weekend finishing a ten page paper for Cross-Cultural Communication. I'm so glad to have that out of the way. It has officially become the part of the semester that I hate. School work is piling up like mad. I have one thing due after another; papers, presentations, and group projects, as well as tests and quizzes. Well, life has continued on. Things have been happening.

Most of my classes are going fine so far. Japanese is doing it's best to try and kick my ass though. I've been making my way through it, but I'm going to need to step up my game. Classes today weren't bad. My International Studies classes seem like they will hopefully be interesting. Japanese seems like it will be challenging and hard work, but it generally is every year. J301 is going to be a lot of work, but I'm going to keep trying hard.

I'm back at IU now. I'll be going home again next weekend for Grandma's memorial service. We're having a memorial serivce instead of a funeral because Grandma always thought funerals were too sad and depressing. I've just got to get through this week. Last night was the second week in a row that I had dinner with Emily and Brad. They're both in my Kurosawa class and every week before our Wednesday night movie showings they go out for Japanese food. They've recently started inviting me along with them.
