I picked up a copy of Gail Carrier's newest book, Heartless, this week! I had the chance to finish reading it yesterday, so here are my thoughts.

This past week has also been pretty low-key. Not a lot of assignments and not a lot of plans.
I finished reading Gail Carriger's Blameless on Thursday. Her books are always so lovely! They're fun and amusing and make me want to curl up with a nice cup of tea. I enjoyed Blameless. ( Spoiler spoiler spoiler ) -

Saturday was a good day. DJ, Kala, Jessie, Kyle and I all met up and went downtown to Lincoln Park Zoo. It had been such a long time since I'd been there (my family normally goes to Brookfield Zoo, which is nicer, but more expensive). I finally got my hands on a copy of Dragon Soul this past weekend! I finished reading it the other day, so here are my thoughts.

So, it seems that the issue with my friends has been somewhat glossed over by many of the people in our friends group. There's still a bit of underlying tension, but things are better then they were at this point last week. Now, I'm just kind of waiting to see what happens next. Blah.

Happy New Year everyone! I'm so glad 2008 is over. Summary of 2008: when it was good, it was pretty good, and when it was bad, it was really bad. I want to believe that 2009 will be better. C'mon 2009, don't fail me.

Things are back to normal.
So, on Friday night, I went with Meghan to pick up a copy of Breaking Dawn. Didn't really have time to read it until Sunday though.
Wow. I wasn't expecting prizewinning literature or anything (I read Twilight for fun, not for the quality of the writing), but this book was definitely not what I was expecting. I don't know ( Read more... )
